This was announced today at a meeting by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Raphael Fattakhov, Head of the Department of Agricultural Development Irek Sadykov, representatives of banks, regional agricultural administrations, investors and other responsible persons.

Insurance is one of the most effective ways to stabilize risks in the agricultural sector, enabling commodity producers to compensate losses of agricultural products, protect themselves from possible bankruptcy, and ensure the sustainability of financial performance. In this regard, agricultural insurance with state support as a risk management tool is considered as one of the options in the program for the development of the agricultural sector.

Agricultural enterprises of the republic started spring field work. But they do not forget: Tatarstan is a zone of risky agriculture.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan informs agrarians that by order of the Government of the Russian Federation, Tatarstan decided to allocate funds in the amount of 120 million rubles for agricultural producers who provided insurance coverage for their property interests related to agricultural production in the prescribed manner to compensate for damage caused by emergencies. Thus, only agricultural producers who insured crops can receive compensation from the federal budget.

This was discussed at a meeting in the form of a video conference on the current state of agricultural insurance. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, the head of the financing department Marcel Makhmutov, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and representatives of companies providing insurances with state support in the republic.

This was discussed at a meeting on April 15 by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Elena Fastova, in the form of a video conference on the current state of agricultural insurance. The event was also attended by Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Foodstuffs of Tatarstan, Irek Sadykov, Head of Plant Industry Development Division, Marcel Makhmutov, Head of Financing Department, Tatarstan Ministry of Agricultural Production Specialists, representatives of regional government agencies of the republic.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reports that the National Union of Agricultural Insurers (NUAI) has approved two types of unified standard insurance rules - for crops and perennial plantations, and farm animals. Also, in addition to the insurance rules, unified methods of calculating tariffs for these types of insurance have been approved.

On March 19, a working meeting on crop insurance was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. It should be noted that agricultural insurance is of particular importance for risk farming regions, including the republic. Insurance of sowing crops allows agricultural producers to minimize risks in their activities.

Today, the 1st March of 2019 came into force the Federal Law No. 563-FZ “On State Support in the Field of Agricultural Insurance”.
