The National Union of Agricultural Insurers has approved new uniform insurance rules
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reports that the National Union of Agricultural Insurers (NUAI) has approved two types of unified standard insurance rules - for crops and perennial plantations, and farm animals. Also, in addition to the insurance rules, unified methods of calculating tariffs for these types of insurance have been approved.
We remind that according to the amendments to the law “On State Support in the Field of Agricultural Insurance and Amendments to the Federal Law” that came into force on March 1, the concept of loss of crops and perennial plantations was excluded from the agricultural insurance system, the possibility of their combination for agrarians was added. In addition, the law now provides for the possibility of carrying out insurance expertise using aircraft and space vehicles, as well as other changes aimed at improving insurance conditions for agricultural producers.
The Ministry reminds agricultural producers that agricultural insurance enables them to carry out stable activities and forecast incomes without fear of drought or hail. Since the level of risks in agriculture is very high, the state is implementing a state support program, under which agricultural producers can receive a reimbursement of up to 95% of the cost of paying insurance premiums.
