The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported at a meeting in the House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan about the upcoming plant protection and harvesting of forage crops.

The agrofirm "Leninogorskaya" of the joint-stock company "Tatagroleasing" began work on the harvesting of vegetable feed for cattle. At present, forage is being harvested on a field of 100 hectares, where the height vellum grass has reached an average of 70 centimeters. According to the chief animal husbandry of the farm Foat Samatov, the grass has already grown and has reached the budding stage.

According to operational data, on May 17, this technical crop was sown on 64.3 thousand hectares, with a plan of 65.6 thousand hectares, noted Irek Sadykov, the head of the department of agriculture development of the ministry. “The same area - 64.3 thousand hectares - was allotted for sugar beet last year,” he added.

Today, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov familiarized himself with the progress of spring field work in the Tyulyachinsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the working visit of the President, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov accompanied him.

Aksubayevsky municipal district was visited today by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. During the working visit, he discussed with the farmers the progress of the current sowing campaign and visited the mushroom growing complex.
