Marat Akhmetov met with workers of Alkeevskiy area

Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov visited the Alkeevsky district of Tatarstan. Marat Akhmetov was accompanied by the head of the Alkeevsky municipal district Alexander Nikoshin, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation — First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues Airat Khairullin, and investor Ivan Kazankov.

During the working visit, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan familiarized himself with the progress of spring field work in the farms of the region and talked with the district activists. The meeting was held in the fields of settlement Sikhterme-Khuzangaevo.

The head of the district Alexander Nikoshin reported that the sowing campaign in the area had reached the finish line, and planting of late crops, such as sunflower and corn, is underway. The spring season was held on an area of ​​42.7 thousand hectares, including spring grain - 17.1 thousand hectares: barley - 6.5 thousand hectares, wheat - 0.6 thousand hectares, oats - 1.1 thousand hectares, sunflower - 11.5 thousand hectares. The area of ​​winter crops is 24.9 thousand hectares, the dead crops rate was 20%.

Marat Akhmetov listened attentively the farmers about winter crops’ death situation and explained that a similar situation is observed in 4 regions of Russia. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is accepting documents from affected agricultural organizations and will have sent them to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia next week.

Farmer Fanis Bakirov from Akhmetyevo, who breeds Tatar horses, appealed to the minister for help in building the road to the stables. Marat Akhmetov instructed the district administration to work on the issue and prepare the necessary documents.

Also during the working visit, the Minister visited the milk processing shop of LLC Khuzangayevskoye and studied the technological process of cheese production, as well as the conditions of keeping cattle on the livestock farm.

At the end of the event, Marat Akhmetov called on people to use actively the state programs aimed at the development of agriculture.
