Field work in the regions of the republic is under special control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. Behind the figures of daily operational reports stays the originality and uniqueness of each region of Tatarstan and, most importantly, the work of thousands of people.

These hot summer days, work is also in full swing in the fields of the Almetyevsk region. Works do not stop in the evening and even at night. At the same time, in order to unleash the potential of the sowed crops, the processing of crops and leaf feeding continues. Broccoli, Peking and cauliflower grow in greenhouses. The first harvest of strawberries is coming.

This week, Fanis Sharafiev, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Almetyevsk District, inspected the progress of the fodder harvesting campaign in the farms of the region.

The cut-off area of perennial grasses for feed is 11,219 hectares, more than 3,125 hectares are mowed, that is 28%. To provide livestock with a sufficient amount of feed, the green mass is being mowed, the mowing area is more than 500 hectares. The region’s farms produce 1000 tons of hay, 5,500 tons of haylage. To improve the quality of harvested haylage, the farms of the region use special preservative starters, which ensure the proper maturation of the preserved feed. This year, many farms strengthened the fleet of vehicles, which allowed them to increase the efficiency and quality of work performed. Self-propelled, trailed mowers, domestic and imported specialized equipment are involved.

“JSC Tokarlikova, OOO Kichuchatovo, OOO Pervomai set the tone for the region’s farms in the forage harvesting campaign. It is necessary to accelerate OOO Tashkichu, OOO Klementeykino, OOO Vasilyevka,'' says Fanis Sharafiev.

Today, 27.5 thousand hectares have been treated against weeds, 23 thousand hectares against pests, 1 thousand hectares against diseases. Sheet feeding is carried out, the application of complex mineral fertilizers. Today, you can still adjust the development of plants. Professional work will unleash the potential of planted crops.

The Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the region also visited the facilities of the SEC “Village” and LLC “Yagodnaya Dolina”.

“This year, 17 cooperators work in our Ovoschnaya Dolina. Vegetables are grown on an area of 73 hectares and fruit and berry crops on an area of 39.8 hectares. From vegetables: Chinese cabbage - on an area of 45 hectares; broccoli - for 8, 5 ha, cauliflower - for 1 ha; white cabbage - on 11 hectares; beets - on 3 hectares; carrots - 2.5 ha. 2 hectares of technical culture- amaranth are sown. In addition, the co-operators planted 5 hectares of raspberries; 0.5 ha of blackberries; 30.9 hectares of currants and 2.5 hectares of strawberries, ”commented Zulfira Husainova, assistant director of the SEC“ Village ”.

It is worth noting that broccoli, cauliflower, and Peking, and white cabbage are grown in Almetyevsk by seeds and seedlings. Crops have different landing times. They require special care and watering. Water supply of plants is carried out due to the presence of drip irrigation infrastructure. It is a branched system of water pipes, with the help of which the liquid is supplied to the root area of plants. In 2017, an artificial lake for 10,000 cubic meters of water was created in the SEC “Village”. Two pumping stations were built, water is taken from the Zai River. After clearing through powerful sand filters, water is supplied to the drip irrigation system on the fields. Each cooperator has a water connection point, counters and a pressure regulator. 37 units of equipment were provided for use to co-operators: tractor, seeders, bed-formers, transplanting machines, various plows. To preserve the grown products, a fruit storage facility of 3000 tons was built and put into operation. Before this year's harvest, it is planned to deploy a packaging and packing line.

Ilnar Nasyrov, an agronomist at Yagodnaya Dolina, commented on the progress of the work being done: “We are faced with the task of updating the planting. Today we plant 5 hectares of strawberries and garden strawberries in open ground. Plans: in the fall we annoy another 5 hectares. The installation of tunnel greenhouses. This device allows you to extend the season of berries until late autumn, increase yields and protect crops from early frosts in the fall, strong wind or other adverse conditions. Since the beginning of spring, work on the currant plantations has been going on continuously. We are preparing to start harvesting currants on July 15, and the first harvest of strawberries is scheduled to begin in 10 days - by the end of June. ”
