Today, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Nurlatsky municipal. The main purpose of the visit is to familiarize with the course of spring field work. During the trip, he was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov and the head of the Nurlatsky district Almaz Akhmetshin.
A meeting with local farmers and heads of rural settlements took place on the territory of the Tsvetuniya greenhouse farm. The new complex consists of six greenhouses, in which flowers are mainly grown for urban greening. Petunias, marigolds, cineraria, ageratums — in total, about 40 plant names are represented. In addition, there are seedlings of vegetables grown: tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, eggplants and melons.
Nikolay Blinov, director of greenhouses, told Rustam Minnikhanov about production technology and sales markets. So, last year 800 thousand of seedlings of annual flowers and vegetables were sold. Products are in demand in Tatarstan, Samara and Ulyanovsk regions. At the height of the season, more than 10 people work at Tsvetuniya. The plan is to construct the additional greenhouses for growing fruit trees, shrubs and perennial flowers.
Also, the President of Tatarstan got acquainted with the exhibition, which presented the products of agricultural enterprises of the region.
Reporting on the situation in the fields, the head of the Nurlatsky district, Almaz Akhmetshin, said that the sowing campaign was coming to an end. Today, 90% of spring grain has been sown. Until May 15, it is planned to complete the sowing of industrial crops: corn, sunflower, sugar beet. For the harvest of the current year, 66.2 kg of mineral fertilizers per hectare have already been accumulated.
Due to adverse weather conditions, winter losses in the Nurlatsky region amounted to more than 40%. Today, work on reseeding the affected areas is underway.
Marat Akhmetov said that in general, the Nurlatsky district is among the top ten in the republic for the development of agriculture. “Compared to 2017, the district has risen by six points in the rating. It is due to good milk production. But there are weaknesses as well. In particular, there is insufficient moisture in the meter layer of soil. Therefore, farm managers and agronomists should take inventory of each field, roll in the current crops in order to bring closer moisture and the depth of seed embedding. The minister also noted the need to update the district park of agricultural machinery and save livestock.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in turn, called on the district administration to actively support local business. “Nurlatsky district has a good dynamics of business development. Greenhouse farms, the production of cheeses, bakeries. Your task is to assist them in every way possible”, emphasized the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
