On the eve of February 23, we decided to pay special attention to those who ensure the food security of our country, people who are not afraid of either hard work, responsibility or weather conditions - our farmers. The ministry prepared a series of publications “What Real Men Think About”, in which we will tell how these people live, what plans they make and how they instill love for their native land to their children.

On February 19, the Plenary meeting of the XXXI Congress of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia (APFACR) in Moscow was held. The event was attended by over 700 delegates and participants from 70 regions of the country, including Tatarstan, and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rishat Khabipov, was awarded the “Honorary Farmer” badge.

Scientists of the Tatar Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences specially for the 100th anniversary of the TASSR developed a wheat variety of the same name. For the first time, the variety was presented to the public at the Agro-Industrial Forum, which was held in Kazan from February 12 to 14 with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The African Clari catfish breeding plant was opened today in Rybnaya Sloboda by the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Yuri Kamaltynov and the head of the Rybno-Slobodsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Tazutdinov. The company is designed to grow 50 tons of fish per year, the investment amounted to 12.2 million rubles.

The peasant farm “Light Lake” in the Zelenodolsk district of Tatarstan plans to open the first stage of a fish farm this year. This was announced by the head of the executive committee of the Zelenodolsk district of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mikhail Afanasyev, at a joint meeting of the councils of the district and the city of Zelenodolsk.

The round table on the topic “Innovative technologies in animal husbandry”, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov, held as part of the Agro-Industrial Forum of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, met a great interest of agricultural specialists.

Today, an increasing number of farmers are thinking about insurance for future crops. Indeed, agricultural insurance is of particular importance for the regions of risky farming and is a real opportunity for agricultural producers to conduct stable activities, forecast incomes in advance.

On February 21-22, in Kazan, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan forum of beekeepers “Actual development issues and strategic solutions for the safety of beekeeping” and the honey festival will be held.

On February 17, Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev held a conference call on preparations for the spring field work of 2020. The first deputy minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov took part in the event.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan for livestock Lenar Garipov visited the Arsky municipal region in order to familiarize himself with the breeding of dairy cattle.
