The African Clari catfish breeding plant was opened today in Rybnaya Sloboda by the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Yuri Kamaltynov and the head of the Rybno-Slobodsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Tazutdinov. The company is designed to grow 50 tons of fish per year, the investment amounted to 12.2 million rubles.
In his welcoming speech, Yuri Kamaltynov thanked the investors for taking on the implementation of the project.
In his speech, the head of the Rybno-Slobodsky district noted that the launch of a new plant in the year of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR is a significant event for the region.
“A year and a half ago there was a former brick factory, ruins, and now a new production is developing. In a few weeks, closer to spring, investors will begin to build the second phase of the project aimed at fish processing,” Ildar Tazutdinov said.
The investment project for the cultivation of African catfish in the Rybno-Slobodsky district is being implemented by Klarius. Construction of the plant began in the fall of 2018. The company has two fry and two commercial units. In 2020, it is planned to purchase two more commercial units of similar capacity. Also in the territory of the factory this year it is planned to establish a workshop for processing up to 2 tons of fish raw materials per shift. Half of the processed fish will beproduced by LLC Klarius, and half will be received from fishermen or other aquaculture farms of the republic.
