Around 100 companies will present their products at the Kazan Halal Market fair.
The official opening of the Kazan Halal Market international trade fair will take place on May 13 as part of the 17th International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: Kazanforum" at the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park. At the largest halal marketplace in Russia, you can buy food, clothing, accessories, cosmetics, and other certified products from leading manufacturers in the Islamic world.
This year, around 100 companies from the Russian Federation will participate in the fair, including manufacturers from Afghanistan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, India, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Sudan.
All products and services presented at the fair have halal certificates from various certification organizations and have been additionally verified by the Halal Standards Committee of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan. Specifically, expert specialists inspected the raw materials and products of all fair participants, as well as the event areas, for compliance with halal standards. To this end, non-halal products were completely removed from the Agroprompark site, and the premises and equipment were thoroughly cleaned to ensure ritual purity.
By the end of 2025, according to agricultural enterprises, the Republic of Tatarstan's halal production volume amounted to 354.4 thousand tons, valued at 149.1 billion rubles. In 2025, Tatarstan's halal exports amounted to $45 million, an increase of 3.2% compared to 2024. This increase in halal product shipments is in line with the goals of the national project "International Cooperation and Export."
By the end of the first four months of this year, halal exports totaled over $16.5 million, primarily dairy, meat, and confectionery products. The planned target for halal exports by 2026 is to reach over $50 million.
A robust halal production sector has been established in the republic. Production covers key areas: meat and dairy products, semi-finished products, bakery products, confectionery, as well as certain processed and beverage segments.
The key importers of halal products are the CIS countries, Mongolia, Brazil, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. There is also growing interest from countries in Southeast Asia and North Africa.
The main halal exporters include Akulchev (confectionery), Essen-Production (confectionery, sauces), Agrosila Holding (meat products), Kausar Agricultural Production Cooperative (meat products), and Vamin-Tatarstan (butter, cheese).
Kazan Halal Market will be open from May 13 to 17, 2026, at 2 Agrarnaya Street, Kazan, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Admission is free.
