An interregional conference of agro-technology class supervisors and mentors was held in Tatarstan.
The first interregional conference of agro-technology class supervisors and mentors was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was organized by KOMOS GRUPP LLC, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Regional Public Organization "AMO RT."
The conference brought together educators, university representatives, education departments, and business experts from Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Bashkortostan, and Perm region. Participants discussed the development of agro-technology classes as part of the federal project "Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex," which is part of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security."
Deputy Minister Rustem Gainullov noted that our republic is a dynamically developing region, with approximately 900,000 people living in rural areas, 180,000 of whom are actively employed in the agricultural sector. Tatarstan is exemplary by many indicators, ranking among the top five economies in the Russian Federation.
According to him, "The support of Russian President Vladimir Putin is a key factor in the successful implementation of rural development programs. Within the framework of state policy, conditions are being created for the development of the agricultural sector and improving the quality of life in rural areas," he noted.
"By the end of last year, 42 agricultural classes were established in the Republic of Tatarstan. These classes are located in 14 municipal districts and 20 schools. The main goal is to expand the scope of agricultural education among schoolchildren, thereby contributing to the development of human resources for agriculture. "We plan to continue and expand this work this year," he noted.
During the event, speakers shared their experiences working with agro-tech classes, discussed teacher training, mentoring, the use of AI in education, and other important aspects.
Particular attention was paid to the practical side: a mentoring manual for agro-tech class supervisors and students from KOMOS GROUP was presented, complete with a year-long work plan, checklists, and lesson plans. Participants also saw examples of schoolchildren's project activities: raising chickens in an incubator, working with microscopy in genetics and plant breeding, etc.
Following the conference, participants shared experiences in developing agro-tech classes, discussed their development strategy through 2030, and outlined plans for the next academic year. Furthermore, the best speaker and best presentation at the event were selected by vote.
The awards ceremony recognized the best schools in agro-tech education:
- Secondary School of the village of im. On October 25, the Laishevsky District School of the Republic of Tatarstan won the "Breakthrough of the Year" award. The school achieved the highest KPI score and received a grant of 350,000 rubles to support a conference, teacher training, or a summer vacation for students in the agro-technical class.
- Karagayskaya Secondary School No. 1 (Perm Krai) won the "Integrated Approach to Agriculture" award.
- Kigbaevskaya Secondary School (Udmurt Republic) won the "Teamwork" award.
- Yakshurskaya School (Udmurt Republic) won the "Best Methodology" award for its in-depth approach to studying chemical and biological disciplines.
- Babinskaya Secondary School (Udmurt Republic) won the "Practical Approach" award for its outstanding field engineering work.
These schools received a rebranding, a corporate identity design, and project-based training at one of the agricultural holding's sites.
The event ended with parting words for the participants, wishing them success in implementing the project in the next academic year and recommending that they spend the summer on specialized shifts to recharge for new achievements.
