Analysis of agriculture in the Republic of Tatarstan for the first half of February

On February 17, at a traditional meeting in the House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov reported on the state of winter crops, preparation of equipment for field work and state support for the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan for the current year.

For the harvest of 2023, plant breeders of the republic sowed winter crops - wheat on an area of 378,000 hectares and rye on 89,000 hectares.
The minister paid special attention to the topic of seeds, citing the following statistics: 35 out of 50 seed farms are members of the Elite Seeds of Tatarstan association.

- I note that the joint work of the association with scientists from the Kazan Agrarian University in 2022 was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan for the creation of an innovative system of seed production of grain crops in the republic. Our seeds are in demand not only on the territory of the republic, but also abroad, - Marat Zyabbarov emphasized.

Another important topic of the report was the preparation of agricultural machinery for field work.

As of February 10, 82% of tractors have been repaired in the republic, which is more than 7.5 thousand units. The readiness of sowing and tillage units is 91% or 9 thousand machines. Last year, farms purchased 3,116 units of equipment for 12.3 billion rubles, including 404 tractors, 179 combines and other equipment.

At the end of his speech, Marat Azatovich drew attention to the state support of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan.
