The President of Tatarstan got acquainted with the progress of spring field work in Almetyevsky region
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has visited Almetyevsky region today. During the visit, he talked with farmers and got acquainted with the progress of spring field work. He was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.
A meeting with machine operators and farm managers took place on the field of agricultural enterprise N.E. Tokarlikova. The head of the region, Timur Nagumanov, said that over 12 thousand hectares of land were allotted for winter crops. Top dressing was performed on an area of 8.8 thousand ha (71%). Harrowing of chill and steam was carried out on an area of 1.3 thousand ha, harrowing of perennial grasses - 900 ha.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, for the 2020 crop, taking into account the autumn application of mineral fertilizers, 40.2 kg of active substance per hectare were accumulated. All households are provided with seeds. The head of the district said that by the beginning of the sowing campaign, farmers have the necessary amount of equipment. In the coming days, several farms plan to begin sowing early crops.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that spring field work should be carried out in the optimal time, ensuring high-quality sowing. He called on all the structures involved in the sowing campaign to observe the necessary sanitary and epidemiological safety measures in connection with the risk of the spread of a new type of coronavirus.
