Today agricultural fairs traditionally opened in Kazan at 6 a.m. The cool autumn weather did not stop the locals. For many, a trip to a fair on Saturday has become a good family tradition uniting several generations. Adult children come to the fairs with their elderly parents, help holding the products, and when they see the prices, they decide to make purchases for themselves too.

On Saturday, November 7, from 6 am, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan invites residents of the republic to purchase agricultural products at affordable prices at fairs in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Naberezhnye Chelny and in the village of Oktyabrsky, Zelenodolsk district (trade and fair complex "New Tura"). Citizens will be able to buy meat, sausage products, draft milk, cheese, butter, eggs, vegetables, honey, sugar, flour, cereals and other farm products brought from the municipal districts of Tatarstan.

Registration for the First National Competition of Regional Food Brands "Tastes of Russia", organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation, continues until November 9. The organizing committee received over 400 applications from more than 70 regions of the country.

This was announced today by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov at a seminar on increasing the efficiency of the crop production industry through optimization of nutrition and protective measures, which was held in Vysokogorsky district on the basis of Kazanselmash LLC with the participation of investors and large agricultural producers of the republic.

Insurance is one of the most effective ways to stabilize risks in the agricultural sector, enabling commodity producers to compensate losses of agricultural products, protect themselves from possible bankruptcy, and ensure the sustainability of financial performance. In this regard, agricultural insurance with state support as a risk management tool is considered as one of the options in the program for the development of the agricultural sector.

At the end of 2017, an agricultural consumer supply and marketing cooperative "Barakat" was created in the Aznakaevsky district, aimed at collecting raw milk, cooling it, processing and marketing. The initiator of its creation was Ramis Sakhapov. The idea was supported by Ramis's brothers - Rustam and Ruslan. Another not indifferent and knowledgeable person, Farit Mullakayev, joined the cooperative. And the brothers were inspired by the opportunity to receive grant support from the state. And the cooperators of "Barakat" achieved what they wanted by winning competitions of the Ministry of Agriculture.

“Today Tatarstan is among the top three constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of the size of industrial livestock, and the livestock industry should receive decent protection of its risks. For the active development of insurance of risks of animal husbandry in the republic, a separate system of measures and a specific action plan are required. NSA with insurers in the region are ready, together with the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic, to develop and implement it, which will provide reliable insurance protection for the republic's livestock breeders and bring the region to a leading position. This was said by the President of the National Union of Agricultural Insurers Korney Bizhdov following a special thematic seminar for livestock breeders.

Outside the village of Turkash, in Kukmorsky district, a turkey farm has grown in one year, from which high-quality products are sent to Kazan.
