“Dear colleagues, I ask you, when processing crops using pesticides and agrochemicals, to take measures to prevent the death of bees,” Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan addressed agrarians of the republic during a meeting at the Government House.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan continues a series of publications devoted to the agriculture of the TASSR during the Great Patriotic War. During the war years, Tatarstan became especially important in the food supply of the army and the population. Moreover, women became the leading force in the agrarian sector of Tatarstan during the war years. In the collective farms of Tatarstan, they worked out up to 70–75% of the total number of workdays, they also made up 75% of the permanent working state farms.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan with great respect for the veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. and those who worked in the rear in those years, providing the country's food supply. Today we are opening a series of publications devoted to agriculture of the TASSR during the Great Patriotic War, in which we will tell how Tatarstanians raised bread, women became the leading force in the agricultural sector, about workdays and children working in the fields.

In Tatarstan, spring field work is in full swing. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, fertilizing winter crops and perennial grasses with mineral fertilizers is underway, everywhere you can see the harrow units in the fields, and in some areas sowing of early spring crops has already begun.

On April 4, at a republican meeting by videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov said that agrarians have a task to get feed not by two, as is usually the case, but by three cuttings.

In order to ensure food security, uninterrupted supply and to maintain the continuity of production of agricultural products and raw materials, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan informs that organizations engaged in the production of agricultural products, including food products, and the formation of agricultural and food stocks for future periods, including organizations engaged in seasonal field work, organizations areas of animal husbandry, fishing, fish processing enterprises, fish farms, as well as organizations engaged in the production of veterinary medicines, organizations engaged in the provision of food for the population and other activities aimed at ensuring food security, fall under points A, C and G of clause 2 of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 25, 2020 No. 206“ On the announcement in the Russian Federation of non-working days”.

Agrarians of Buinsky and Nurlatsky districts were the first to go to sowing spring crops. So, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, 80 ha of wheat and 120 ha of barley are sown today in Buinsky district, and 30 ha of barley in the Nurlatsky district.

This was announced today by Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev at a meeting of the Operational Headquarters for monitoring the situation with socially significant agricultural products and food. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov took part in this work.

This year, field work in the Alkeevsky district began 10 days earlier than usual. Fertilizers on the fields are applied using aircraft and units "Fog" and "Amazon".
