This was announced today by Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev at a meeting of the Operational Headquarters for monitoring the situation with socially significant agricultural products and food. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov took part in this work.
At present, according to Dmitry Patrushev, the situation with the provision of socially significant products and prices does not cause any concern. Moreover, in order to maintain stability in the food market of our country, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has provided a number of additional measures. In particular, a restrictive mechanism has been developed for quoting the export of the most important crops for the Russian market - the corresponding draft government decree provides a quota of 7 million tons for the period from April 1 to June 30 of the current year. In addition, the Ministry began preparations for commodity interventions in the amount of 1 million tons. These measures will help ensure the necessary amount of grain for food and feed purposes, reduce grain prices, and also prevent a jump in consumer prices for food products.
As Dmitry Patrushev emphasized, the key task is to provide the population with the necessary amount of products, to enable farmers to carry out the sowing in a high-quality and timely manner and in general to maintain the continuity of the production cycle. “Uninterrupted operation of enterprises should be ensured. The stability of the domestic food market literally depends on the regular functioning of the industry”, the Minister said.
Also, according to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, in agricultural regions it is necessary to carry out timely disinfection of agricultural enterprises, to provide workers with personal protective equipment - gloves, masks, antiseptics. Dmitry Patrushev emphasized the inadmissibility of non-payment of wages, which also determines the uninterrupted operation of the entire industry.
