A Tatarstan delegation visited leading agricultural enterprises in the Republic of Belarus.
Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, as part of a delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan, paid a working visit to the Republic of Belarus. The program included a visit to the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex and a wreath-laying ceremony at the grave of Pyotr Gavrilov, a Hero of the Soviet Union and participant in the defense of the Brest Fortress, a native of the Kazan Governorate. A meeting was also held with Pyotr Parkhomchik, Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, following which a cooperation action plan was signed between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Brest Region.
Belarus is one of the country's leading foreign economic partners. Last year, trade turnover amounted to $718 million. Foreign economic relations between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Belarus are actively developing. Mutually beneficial relations strengthen partnerships and align with the goals of the national project "International Cooperation and Export."
In turn, Petr Parkhomchik noted that the Brest Region has a developed industry and a powerful agro-industrial complex. Following the recent visit of the regional delegation to Tatarstan, active discussions have begun on promising areas of partnership, which will be built on a mutually beneficial basis. At the end of the meeting, an action plan for cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Brest Regional Executive Committee was signed.
During the visit, Marat Zyabbarov toured the Savushkin Product company. Guests were shown its production facilities, modern equipment, and product range. Today, the company is one of the largest dairy producers in the Republic of Belarus, processing over 1,800 tons of milk daily. He also toured the Brestoblagroservis production and trading company, which provides a comprehensive range of agricultural, agrotechnical, agrochemical, and supply and trading services.
The following day, Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov toured the leading enterprises in the Kamenka District of the Brest Region. One of the key sites was the Minkovichi dairy farm, a subsidiary of Belovezhsky Open Joint-Stock Company. Here, the guests were introduced to cutting-edge cattle farming technologies that not only ensure a high level of animal comfort but also maximize herd productivity. Particular attention was also paid to milk production processes: from automated milking systems and strict raw material quality control to modern methods of storage and primary processing.
Here, they toured the Belovezhsky agrotown, part of the "Village of the Future" project. The agrotown offers the opportunity to live in a rural area while enjoying all the benefits of the city.
"We have created conditions so that people, returning from work, feel like they're in the city, not the village. We have a well-developed social sector," noted Anna Chepelyuk, chairperson of the village executive committee.
The next stop on the Tatarstan delegation's working trip was Agroprodukt, one of the largest enterprises in the Belarusian oil and fat industry. The guests were able to study in detail modern rapeseed processing processes and become familiar with the full production cycle, from raw material preparation to finished product production.
According to Director Oleg Teslyuk, the plant employs 193 people. The plant performs advanced processing of vegetable oils: hydration, refining, deodorization, and bleaching. Currently, the processing volume of raw materials exceeds 380,000 tons per year. The enterprise completely meets the needs of the domestic market, and approximately 90% of the oil produced is exported, primarily to Israel and China. Its stable profits allow it to actively advance payments to agricultural organizations, providing crop protection products and livestock feed.
The Tatarstan delegation's visit concluded with a tour of Belovezhskie Syry, one of the flagships of the Brest dairy industry. Deputy Director Sergei Drobyshevsky led the guests on a tour. The company processes up to 300 tons of milk per day and is firmly among the region's leaders.
Delegates were able to observe the full dairy production cycle: from strict quality control of incoming milk to modern methods of pasteurization, fermentation, and cheese ripening.
