The Ministry discussed issues related to Tatarstan's agro-industrial complex.
Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov held a meeting via videoconference with heads of municipal districts and heads of the Tatarstan Department of Agriculture and Food, as well as agroholdings.
Opening the meeting, Marat Zyabbarov focused on the completion of sowing work and the timely seeding of crops.
"Sowing work is entering its final stage. 1,430,000 hectares, or 84% of the planned area, have been sown: spring grain crops - 86%, sugar beets - 99%; sunflowers - 91%; rapeseed - 83%. The Alekseevsky, Leninogorsky, Chistopolsky, Tetyushsky, Sabinsky, Menzelinsky, Zainsky, Spassky, and Buinsky districts are actively sowing. Over 90% of their acreage has been sown," the minister noted.
Irek Sadykov, Head of the Department for Agricultural Development, reported on sowing work and plans for liming acidic soils in 2026, as well as on the purchase of mineral fertilizers. The issue of soil deoxidation and crop insurance was also raised.
Rafis Khabibullin, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoztsentr branch in the Republic of Tatarstan, and Rafael Gayrov, Head of the Agrochemical Support Service at Kazan Agrokhimservis LLC, reported on the current situation in the fields and efforts to improve the effectiveness of pesticide treatments.
Ilnar Gabbasov, Head of the Agricultural Engineering and Technical Support Department, presented information on the acceptance of forage harvesting equipment for the upcoming campaign and occupational safety and health in agricultural production. It is important to stock up on diesel fuel whenever possible, as prices have risen in recent days.
Ilnar Gabbasov also reported on government support measures for 2026 for the technical re-equipment and repair of grain harvesting equipment. "To date, 2,412 grain harvesters have been repaired in the Republic of Tatarstan, representing 60% of the fleet. Work on acquiring spare parts and repairing grain harvesting equipment continues," he noted. He also emphasized the need to comply with occupational safety and health requirements during fieldwork.
Deputy Minister Gelyus Bayazitov discussed the current situation in dairy farming and plans for forage procurement.
"Hot weather promotes rapid plant growth, so it's essential to begin harvesting the first crop of perennial grasses as soon as possible. I appeal to department heads, investment company managers, and farm managers: mobilize all available resources for forage procurement and complete the first crop harvest no later than June 15," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
Next, regarding milk production. Approximately 5,500 tons of milk are produced daily in Tatarstan. This represents an increase of 250 tons, or 5%, compared to the previous year. As of May 21, the average daily productivity was 25.8 kg per cow," noted Gelyus Bayazitov.
Niyaz Khaliullin, General Director of the Regional Agricultural Center, discussed the statistics for filling the Unified State Register of Agricultural Information Systems (USIS ZSN) with information on crop sowing for the 2026 harvest. He also discussed in more detail the implementation of meteorological monitoring in the republic.
Timur Galeev, Head of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about the epizootic situation in Tatarstan. Despite systematic efforts to control animal imports and implement biological control measures, the threat of introducing particularly dangerous diseases from neighboring regions remains, and the level of preparedness for anti-epidemic risks on a significant number of farms remains inadequate.
In conclusion, Marat Zyabbarov recalled the federal campaign "All-Russian Agro-Dictation," which will be held in the Republic of Tatarstan from May 26 to 30, 2026. It is essential to maximize the participation and actively participate, the minister emphasized. The Agro-Dictation provides an opportunity for everyone, regardless of profession or age, to test themselves and learn more about the foundations of the country's food security in support of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security."
