As part of the "International Cooperation and Export" national project aimed at increasing the export of non-resource, non-energy goods, JSC Russian Export Center is holding a festival and fair under the national brand "Made in Russia" in Harbin, People's Republic of China.
The fair is being held concurrently with the 10th Russia-China Expo at the Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair. This is the third consecutive year that Harbin has hosted the Russian festival. The Russian Export Center has organized six such events in China since 2024. Two companies from Tatarstan are participating in the event.
This year's exhibition opened on May 17. Over 100 Russian manufacturers from 37 regions of the country participated in the exhibition. Visitors to the venue can browse a wide range of products, including agricultural products, beverages and dietary supplements, cosmetics and personal care products, consumer goods, jewelry and souvenirs, and tourism services.
The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking government and business representatives from both sides. The Chinese side was represented by the governors of Heilongjiang and Liaoning Provinces, the mayor of Harbin, and the heads of trade departments.
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko welcomed the festival-fair participants. He emphasized that Harbin is imbued with an atmosphere of strong friendship between the peoples of Russia and China and holds a special place in the history of relations between the two countries.
The organizers have prepared a rich program: guests can sample Kamchatka crab dishes, watch Russian chefs prepare pancakes and steaks, attend Russian animation screenings, and toy painting master classes. Popular Chinese bloggers are also promoting the products by broadcasting live from the festival, introducing millions of users to Russian products.
"Russian exports to China are growing dynamically. It's especially important for us that non-resource, non-energy products are the main driver of this growth. Annual shipment volumes have been steadily growing since 2021. In 2025, non-resource, non-energy exports will have increased by 18%. This dynamic and scale require high-quality infrastructure for promotion, and our festival-fair offers great opportunities for domestic producers to enter the vast Chinese market. Such events help strengthen Russian-Chinese relations, develop trade and economic cooperation, and introduce Chinese consumers to Russian products and culture," emphasized Veronika Nikishina, General Director of the Russian Export Center.
The festival-fair is an important tool for developing trade and economic cooperation. Around 400 negotiations are planned for this year. Products presented at the fair are available for order not only on-site but also through the national "Made in Russia" store and leading Chinese marketplaces.
The Russian Export Center (REC) is implementing the "Made in Russia" national brand promotion program, approved by the Russian Government in 2025. The goal of the program is to increase recognition of domestic products in global markets through the use of a bird symbol in the colors of the Russian flag.
The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) is a state institution that supports non-resource, non-energy exports. It provides companies from various industries with both financial and non-financial assistance at all stages of entering international markets, including as part of the national project "International Cooperation and Export." Most services offered by the REC Group are available online on the state-owned digital platform "My Export." The REC is responsible for the primary functions of supporting and implementing the "Made in Russia" program. The REC Group includes the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), ROSEXIMBANK, and the REC Export School.
Russian exporters can apply to participate in festivals and fairs on the Made in Russia program website https://madeinrussia.com/ru/events/, where a calendar of international events supported by the Russian Export Center is posted.
