Rustam Minnikhanov and Marat Zyabbarov assessed the progress of spring sowing in the Leninogorsk Municipal District.
Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Tatarstan, and Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited the Leninogorsk Municipal District today on a working visit.
The main purpose of the visit was to visit several agricultural enterprises and review the progress of spring sowing in the district's fields.
According to Marat Girfanov, Head of the Leninogorsk Municipal District, approximately 37% of the area has been sown. Fertilizer application is also underway. The Head of the District thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for implementing national programs that contribute to improving the quality of life for rural residents, as well as for supporting a number of projects.
Marat Zyabbarov reported that the Leninogorsk District is actively conducting spring sowing work. He noted the need to strengthen efforts to support and develop private household plots (PHPs) and devote more attention to this issue.
Rustam Minnikhanov then met with machine operators, farm managers, heads of rural settlements, and Leninogorsk District officials. They discussed the progress of spring sowing work, the seeding technologies being used, and the availability of mineral fertilizers.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the Leninogorsk District officials and all residents on the upcoming Victory Day. He noted the importance of providing care and attention to all war veterans and home front workers, participants and veterans of the special military operation, and especially the families of fallen participants in the Special Military Operation. The Rais of Tatarstan called on the heads of rural settlements to pay close attention to this issue and take it under their personal control.
Next, they visited the Leninogorsk Poultry Farm and learned about the current state of affairs and the stages of further development.
This investment project envisages the creation of a production complex for the industrial rearing and slaughter of turkeys at the Leninogorsk Poultry Farm LLC.
Previously, the site housed an egg production facility, which operated for 55 years and closed in August 2023. The new owner reconstructed the facility, installing modern poultry housing and rearing equipment, as well as climate control and ventilation systems.
Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the renovated buildings and was also briefed on poultry farming technology.
Once fully operational, the poultry farm will produce up to 6,500 tons of turkey meat. The plan is also to grow grain crops, including to provide the farm with its own feed.
