Today, a strategic session entitled "University and Business: Developing Innovative Solutions for Staffing the Industry in 2025-2035" was held at the N.E. Bauman Kazan Academy of Veterinary Medicine of the Kazan State Agrarian University.
The opening was attended by Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan; Ilshat Nuriyev, Acting Rector of the Kazan State Agrarian University; Niyaz Khaliullin, General Director of JSC "RIVC"; heads of agro-industrial enterprises, heads of agricultural engineering services, and representatives of the Kazan State Agrarian University.
Welcoming the participants of the strategic session, Marat Zyabbarov noted that without modern specialists, even the most advanced technology will remain unclaimed. "It is people, their knowledge, skills, and willingness to innovate that are becoming the key competitive advantage in the modern agro-industrial complex," he said.
The minister identified the digitalization of the industry, mass automation of processes, increased demands for environmental responsibility, and personnel shortages as key trends. He stated that these issues require a systematic rethinking of approaches to training professional personnel.
He emphasized that key aspects include defining laboratory equipment requirements, developing a list of competencies for future specialists, and creating mechanisms for interaction between businesses and universities.
Ilshat Nuriyev spoke about agricultural education in the context of transformation, identifying challenges and areas for growth.
"The current stage of development of Tatarstan's agricultural sector requires advanced training of personnel capable of working with the latest technologies." "Today's session aims to create an effective system of interaction between science, education, and business, where KazSAU plays a key role," noted Ilshat Nuriyev.
The strategic session also included roundtable discussions on promising specialties in the agro-industrial complex, personnel training concepts, the image of a leading agricultural university, promising technologies and trends, and areas for applied cooperation with agricultural universities.
Starting in 2025, as part of the federal project "Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex" of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security," a major renovation and equipment upgrade of Academic Building No. 3 of the Institute of Mechanization and Technical Service of Kazan State Agrarian University will be underway. This project aims to create modern conditions for training highly qualified personnel for the agro-industrial complex. To achieve these goals, close cooperation between agricultural enterprises and the university is essential.
Following the event, a list of necessary equipment will be compiled for equipping the institute, which will form the basis for high-quality training of young specialists for the agro-industrial complex.
