On January 20, 2026, the Tatarstan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TsOK AIC" (Agro-Industrial Complex) tested a 181.6-ton batch of unrefined rapeseed oil for export to China.

The branch's laboratory specialists performed the necessary tests to obtain quality, health, and GMO-detection certificates from the inspection agency.

The products were tested for compliance with GOST 31759-2012 "Rapeseed Oil. Technical Conditions," Customs Union Technical Regulations TR CU 021/2011 "On Food Safety" and TR CU 024/2011 "Technical Regulations for Fat and Oil Products," the contract, and the requirements of the importing country.

Before shipment, the rapeseed oil was tested for moisture content, fatty acid composition, GMO content, mycotoxins, pesticide residues, radionuclides, heavy metals, and other parameters.

"Unrefined rapeseed oil samples underwent 100 laboratory tests for quality and safety. The results confirmed that the product fully complies with Chinese requirements," noted Svetlana Belova, head of the inspection body at the Tatarstan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TsOK AIC."

It is worth noting that there remains stable and high demand from China for vegetable oil produced in Tatarstan on the international market. Mutually beneficial relations strengthen the partnership and align with the goals of the national project "International Cooperation and Export."

By the end of 2025, under the supervision of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TsOK AIC" in the Republic of Tatarstan, over 12,900 tons of vegetable oils were exported, more than 99% of which went to China. Flaxseed oil exports last year reached 1,080 tons, 2.4 times higher than the 2024 figure (456 tons). Sunflower oil exports amounted to 400 tons. Rapeseed oil accounted for the bulk of exports—over 11,400 tons—with 42 tons of this export going to Uzbekistan.
