Tatar national drink entered the TOP-100 best products of Russia
Katyk produced by the Zelenodolsk Dairy Processing Plant became the winner of the competition "100 best products of Russia" in 2024. The product successfully passed all tests and was among the winners in the nomination "Food products".
It should be noted that katyk is an integral part of the Tatar gastronomic culture. At the ZMK production, during the preparation of katyk, milk is heated, but does not boil, but evaporates and gradually loses up to a third of its water, becoming fatter and richer. At the end of the process, a starter culture of lactic acid microorganisms is added to it. Thus, carefully preserving traditional technologies, the plant creates a truly natural and healthy product.
Four products of the Ochen Vazhnaya Korova trademark also won diplomas in the food category: soft cottage cheese with raspberries, soft cottage cheese with mango, butter with a fat content of 72.5%, and cottage cheese with a fat content of 5%. The award ceremony for enterprises with the participation of the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held in December.
The competition is held annually in two stages. The first includes participation in the regional program "Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan". Its winners are nominated for participation in the federal project "100 Best Goods of Russia".
