Marat Zyabbarov held a working meeting with the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Kazan
Today, a meeting was held with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan Nodirjon Kasimov. The negotiations were attended by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov and Deputy Ministers Dmitry Yashin, Rustem Gainullov and Gelyus Bayazitov from the Republic of Tatarstan, and First Secretary Kamol Davronov from the Consulate General.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan, noting the need to strengthen interaction for the further realization of the potential of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Investment projects are being implemented between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the agricultural sector - melioration systems, agricultural machinery and grain seed selection. International relations in the field of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex and logistics are also developing.
Marat Zyabbarov presented the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex and spoke about the export potential of the Republic of Tatarstan. "In terms of agricultural production, the republic is among the top five leaders in Russia, owning 2% of the country's agricultural land, produces 3.5% of its agricultural products. Tatarstan is the undisputed leader in milk production among the subjects of the Russian Federation - more than 6% of all milk in the country," the minister noted.
Products exported from the Republic of Tatarstan are margarine, sugar, chocolate, jam, jelly, marmalade and ketchup. Most of the imported goods are vegetables, prunes and peanuts. Mutually beneficial relations strengthen partnerships and meet the goals of the national project "International Cooperation and Export".
At the end of the meeting, Marat Zyabbarov invited the Consul General to take part in the events of the BRICS and BRICS Plus Summit of Heads of State, which will be held in Kazan from October 22 to 24.
