In the Republic of Tatarstan, as part of the project of the Corporation for Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship, a "Farmer's Island" was opened in Almetyevsk.
The project provides agricultural producers and food manufacturers with the opportunity to place their products in special "islands". Products are supplied by small businesses from Zainsky, Almetyevsk, Nizhnekamsky, Muslyumovsky, Sarmanovsky and Tukaevsky municipal districts to 3 sites in Kazan, 1 site in Innopolis and 1 site in Almetyevsk.
The "Farmer's Island" project has been successfully operating in the republic since 2022 and has proven itself very well. This "island" helps small businesses sell their products and enter the market outside their city or district. "A big plus for buyers is that the products are supplied in small batches from small farms, but on a permanent basis," said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.
"Farmers and small food producers directly presented their products to residents of Almetyevsk, bypassing long supply chains. Thanks to this, they will be able to determine consumer preferences and get an additional opportunity to expand the sales market," said General Director of the SME Corporation Alexander Isaevich.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship".
