Today, the international agro-industrial exhibition “Agrovolga” began its work on the territory of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. For the third year now, this unique event has united farmers not only from Tatarstan, but also from Russia as a whole. This year, not only Russian but also foreign companies will demonstrate their achievements and new developments in the field of agricultural machinery and spare parts, crop production, livestock farming, digitalization, storage, processing and packaging of agricultural products.
The official start of the event was given by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. He greeted the participants and wished them fruitful work.
“I am confident that the exhibition will serve as an incentive for further growth and prosperity of the industry. I wish all participants and guests of the exhibition to take advantage of the opportunities of this platform and work fruitfully: establish business contacts, find potential suppliers and buyers, conclude mutually beneficial agreements, gain new knowledge and apply them in future work,” he noted.
Within the framework of Agrovolga, a breeding competition for dairy cattle will be held for the third time. Independent guest judges will select the best cows in the Republic of Tatarstan. 80 cows from 40 breeding farms are vying for the title of the very best.
For the first time this year, the First International Cattle Hoof Trimming Tournament will be held. More than 150 veterinary hoof orthopedic surgeons from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bolivia and Cuba will meet on one site to compete for the title of the best in their profession.
Tomorrow, machine operators of the republic will be able to show their skills in operating a tractor and take part in the republican championship for professional driving on BELARUS gas-engine tractors “MTZ-SHOW”.
More than 250 promising and most adapted new products of domestic and foreign selection, including our Tatarstan varieties, are presented at the variety testing site in the field exposition.
For a comfortable visit to the exhibition, from July 3 to July 5, free shuttles will run hourly from Kazan to the Kazan Expo IEC and back.
