The XII All-Russian gathering of entrepreneurs of Tatar villages started today. All participants worked on discussion platforms, two of which were located in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov took part in the work.
During the work, they discussed the issues of processing and selling agricultural products produced in the countryside, the role of Tatar brands in the preservation and development of the countryside. Innovations in the field of agriculture, crop production, as well as livestock breeding and issues of training in the field of agriculture.
The first report on the topic “Processing and sale of agricultural products produced in rural areas” was made by Lenar Garipov. He noted that the Republic of Tatarstan is fully self-sufficient in the main types of agricultural products. So, the supply of meat and grain is more than 100%, the supply of milk is more than 150%, the supply of sugar is over 200%, and the supply of vegetable oil is more than 7 times higher than the norm.
The product processing industry is actively developing. The republic's enterprises process 4,200 tons of milk every day. This is about 85% of the total volume of raw materials produced in the republic.
High production rates have been achieved in the baking industry. There are about 70 enterprises operating in the Republic of Tatarstan, with a total production capacity of over 285 thousand tons of bread and bakery products. Only in 2023, Chelny-Khleb JSC put into operation a new line for the production of loaf products, the total volume amounted to over 160 million rubles.
Much attention is paid to product sales. Traditionally, in spring and autumn, agricultural fairs are organized in the republic, at which agricultural producers directly sell high-quality products at affordable prices. In 2023, 23 fairs were held at 19 venues in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk. Based on the results of the fair sale, products were sold for a total amount of 1530.2 million rubles. Fair trade has resumed since March 16 of this year.
Products of the agro-industrial complex are exported by 160 participants in foreign economic activity with a geographical distribution of supplies to 54 countries. Positive dynamics and growth in supply volumes are observed in many categories of exported agricultural products.
The main share of exports falls on the products of the oil and fat industry, the leading enterprises of which are Kazan Fat Plant JSC.
Since 2020, the Republic of Tatarstan has been actively developing the export of products according to the Halal standard. Over the 12 months of this year, products of the Halal standard for export amounted to 11.5 million US dollars, which is 1.7 times more than the same period last year.
“We are setting ambitious goals ahead aimed at developing the agro-industrial complex and providing high-quality and affordable products to residents of the Republic of Tatarstan and other regions. In the future, we will continue to make a great contribution to ensuring the country’s food security,” said Lenar Garipov.
Next, the deputy head of the department for the development of small businesses, Ramil Khairov, spoke. “It’s gratifying that in our republic there are many successful examples when farmers create not only high-quality products, but also Tatar brands themselves, which are already known far beyond the republic and even abroad”.
Every year in the republic the volume of processing is growing and, of course, a significant contribution to this is made by rural entrepreneurs who have organized processing in their villages and regions. The Faiza cooperative from Muslyumovsky district processes over 450 tons of milk monthly and produces butter and other dairy products, as well as cagliatta cheese, which is the basis for the production of cheeses such as mozzarella and braid. Products are sold both within the republic and beyond its borders.
There are brands of meat products that are also in demand in Russia and are exported. Thus, the Kausar cooperative produces meat products from duck, horse meat, and rabbit meat. The Agroleader cooperative also makes a huge contribution to the popularization of goose products. The products have been recognized as the best in their segment at republican and federal competitions.
Gardening is also gradually developing. The Duvanov Gardens brand, although young, is already familiar to many. We hope that this direction will continue to develop. The development of Tatar brands is closely related to Halal standards. Since 2020, the Republic of Tatarstan has been actively developing the export of products according to the Halal standard.
“We set ourselves goals so that Tatar brands are known far beyond the borders of our republic; the development of Tatarstan’s external relations with Islamic countries will allow us to achieve even greater results. The most important thing is that the “Tatar product brands” are of the highest quality and then everything will work out for us,” he concluded.
