Today, the Ministry held a meeting with Denis Konstantinov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Rosselkhozbank JSC. It was attended by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov, Director of the Tatarstan regional branch of Rosselkhozbank JSC Lyalya Kudermetova, representatives of agricultural universities of the republic.
Lenar Garipov presented the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan. He noted that Tatarstan is one of the most promising regions of Russia and ranks 5th in terms of gross agricultural output. Among Russian regions, according to preliminary results, the republic ranks: 1st place in milk production, 2nd place in potato production, 8th place in production of livestock meat and poultry for slaughter, 9th place in egg production. Over the past year, we collected more than 5 million tons of grain, more than 800 thousand tons of potatoes, 240 thousand 74 tons of vegetables and produced more than 2 million tons of milk.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to staffing the industry and discussed ways to promote farm products.
“Today we are actively working on personnel issues. A key role in this is played by the platform for education and job search in agriculture “I’m in Agro”. It was created with the aim of promoting agricultural education and finding work in the agro-industrial complex. The resource is intended for a wide audience, from schoolchildren to experienced professionals,” noted Denis Konstatinov.
Lenar Garipov said in his speech that one of the important tasks of creating agricultural classes is to introduce schoolchildren to the professions and specialties in demand in the agro-industrial complex of the republic, with the content, nature and working conditions, to give students an idea of the current state of agriculture.
“The program of classes in agricultural classes includes practical classes: conducting field trips to enterprises, by visiting which schoolchildren gain experience and insight into working in the agro-industrial complex. Also, classes are held in the format of laboratory classes and excursions, including on the basis of KSAU, where schoolchildren learn the basics of scientific research work and carry out laboratory experiments together with teachers. Based on the results of the research, students of agricultural classes are preparing materials for participation in the scientific and practical conference “Science and the youth of Tatarstan - a step into the future”, in the Olympiad of young inventors “My Small Motherland,” he said.
Next, we discussed investment projects being implemented in Tatarstan.
Another topic for discussion was the promotion of farm products. As Denis Konstantinov noted, the bank tested various methods.
“The most striking successes are demonstrated by the Tasty Friday and My Native projects. Thus, during off-site sales and product tasting events, which are held in various organizations under the name Tasty Friday, farmers in one day achieve sales volumes comparable to those for several months,” noted Denis Konstantinov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Rosselkhozbank JSC.
Next, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing trade of farm products in large retail chains.
