KSAU hosted the Republican Olympiad for young inventors "My small Motherland"

Today Kazan State Agrarian University hosted the final of the 5th Republican Olympiad for Young Inventors “My Little Motherland”.

Head of the Center for Career Guidance and Pre-University Education Guzel Fassakhova, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure Development and Production Activities Nail Khamidullin and Head of the Society of Inventors and Innovators of the Republic of Tatarstan Asiya Povarova spoke at the opening ceremony. The commission was headed by the heads of departments of KSAU.

The competition for young inventors has existed for 5 years now, it is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan State Agrarian University.

Young inventors brought to the Olympiad a vegetable cutter for livestock feed, an amphibious catamaran, a three-wheeled all-terrain vehicle, a boot with a visor to protect against mud, a snow blower and many other interesting  inventions.

According to Guzel Fassakhova, the Olympiad has already become a tradition. This year more than 70 inventors from all over Tatarstan participated. She also drew attention to the fact that there are many new interesting projects. “Special thanks to the teachers and mothers who put so much effort, desire and love into the preparation of children's projects,” Guzel Fassakhova emphasized.

Nail Khamidullin noted that the purpose of this competition is to identify talented children and attract them to study at KSAU in the future. “I am glad that the competition has been going on for five years now, the geography and number of participants is growing, the age composition is changing. In you, we see future students, teachers of our university and scientists.”

Asiya Povarova in her welcoming speech focused on the fact that the level of participants is increasing every year, some inventions can already be used in agriculture today. “You are the gold reserve of the Republic,” she added.

Before presenting their projects, the young inventors visited the KSAU museum, where photographs and notebooks of students from the times of the USSR were presented. The most interesting exhibit was the student card of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

After summing up the results, the winners were awarded certificates, letters of thanks and memorable prizes.
