The Ministry summed up the results of the livestock industry for the 1st half of 2022
Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food held a meeting with the regions of Tatarstan, they summed up the results of livestock breeding for the 1st half of the year. The main speaker was Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Lenar Garipov.
The main topics for discussion were: livestock conditions, the problem of reducing the number of cows, the volume of milk production, the organization of artificial insemination in sheep, as well as meat production.
To date, more than 740 thousand tons of milk have been produced, with an increase of 3% compared to last year.
In terms of the number of cattle, only 11 districts have reached the planned targets. The leaders are Kukmorsky, Atninsky and Sabinsky districts.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, 207 thousand tons of meat were produced, of which 48 thousand are cattle meat, 49 thousand of pork and 109 thousand tons of poultry meat.
“In terms of poultry meat, the indicators are at the level of last year. Despite the imposed sanctions, poultry farmers keep their production capacities at the level of last year,” the Deputy Minister noted.
