Haylage day was held in Baltasinsky district

9 June 2022, Thursday

Today in the Baltasinsky municipal district a seminar "Haylage Day" was held. It was attended by Deputy Ministers Lenar Garipov, Rafael Fattakhov, Head of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Khisamutdinov, heads of district agricultural departments, heads of farms.

The main objective of the seminar was to ensure that each farm of the republic in the current and subsequent years would strive to prepare the best haylage.

“Abnormal feeding, lack or excess of nutrients inevitably leads to metabolic disorders, reduced productivity, reduced immunity, the development of various diseases and, ultimately, to the culling of livestock,” Lenar Garipov noted in his report.

The high yield and nutritional value of perennial grasses largely depends on the period of their use. In areas where the proportion in the general structure of the fodder wedge of perennial grasses with a use period of 5 years or more exceeds 20%, it is impossible to procure high-quality fodder.

One of the most important points to start forage harvesting is the availability of equipment that allows you to prepare feed within a short period of time without losing their nutritional value.

Rafael Fattakhov spoke about this in his speech. He noted that from May 30 to June 3, acceptance of forage harvesting equipment took place throughout the republic.

“The high readiness was shown by the farms of Aktanyshsky, Arsky, Atninsky, Baltasinsky, Buinsky, Vysokogorsky, Zainsky, Kukmorsky, Mamadyshsky, Menzelinsky, Muslyumovsky, Nurlatsky, Sabinsky, Sarmanovsky, Tukaevsky districts. Unsatisfactory preparation of the forage harvesting complex in the farms of Almetevsky, V. Uslonsky, Mendeleevsky, Pestrechinsky, Cheremshansky districts,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.

During the practical part, representatives of agricultural enterprises told how to tillage, what equipment to use for harvesting, how to use preservatives when laying haylage.
