Within the framework of the summit, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Zyabbarov met with the Head of the Federal Accreditation Service (Russian Accreditation Agency) Nazariy Skrypnik. The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov, project manager for the export of Halal products, head of investment projects of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov, General Director of the Halal ICSC under the Russian Spiritual Spiritual Administration Aidar Gazizov.
The parties discussed the possibility of establishing a supporting body for certification and testing laboratories on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan; inclusion of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Halal working group, ensuring interaction and coordination with federal authorities in terms of Halal, as well as issues of creating accreditation standards.
“We are actively working with manufacturers on the procedure for obtaining the International Halal Certificate, conducting a Halal audit of production facilities, involving new manufacturers of the Republic of Tatarstan in this process, advising manufacturers on all existing measures of state support for exporters,” said Marat Zyabbarov.
Currently, there are more than 100 manufacturers of Halal products in the Republic of Tatarstan, those are: 20 companies are export-oriented, some of them are certified by the ICSC Halal certification body, which has international accreditation in the countries of the Persian Gulf.
