XIII International Economic Summit "KazanSummit 2022" started today

Today, the solemn opening of the international exhibition exposition of the halal industry "Russia Halal Expo" took place, in which the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov took part.

The event takes place during the 13th International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: Kazan-Summit".

Russia Halal Expo is the largest exhibition of the halal industry in Russia. This year it is held for the 5th time. Its scale is growing - it has become 2 times larger; it covers an area of ​​10 thousand square meters.

The exhibition is aimed at promoting the halal industry in Russia; demonstration of the potential of the halal segment of the economy; providing an opportunity to present products to potential buyers and partners.

The halal industry is very promising for Russia. At the same time, halal is not only about food.

As President Rustam Minnikhanov noted, the exhibition demonstrates almost all sectors of the economy, including medicine and healthcare; cosmetic and chemical industry; fashion and beauty industry; tourism and hospitality; food and nutrition; information Technology; finance, investment, etc.

For the first time, the KazanSummit hosts the World Halal Day - which has been held around the world since 2014. The events will be available for visiting at the exhibition site free for all guests.

Then the plenary session of the XIII International Economic Summit "KazanSummit 2022" was held, where President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov made a welcoming speech. The main topic of the summit is "The Sharing Economy and the Common Good of Halal".

The plenary session is devoted to the topic "The Sharing Economy and the Common Benefit of Halal".

This year, the leitmotif of the program was the sharing economy and the common good of halal. The main topics of the summit will be Islamic finance and partner banking, the halal industry, youth diplomacy, export development, entrepreneurship and investment.

“I am pleased to note that Kazan has received the status of the Youth Capital of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation - 2022. Under its auspices, a number of important international events are planned, such as the Kazan Global Summit with the participation of ministers of youth affairs and youth leaders of the OIC countries, the Festival of Contemporary Muslim Culture, the Scientific Congress OIC countries and other events.

Today, the Islamic world is a unique civilizational community with its own interests in international politics, economics and humanitarian interaction. The Islamic economy is an integral part of the world economy, and the total volume of its assets is estimated by experts at the level of 3.6 trillion US dollars. By 2025, it should increase to 4.9 trillion US dollars,” the President noted.
