China considers expanding cooperation with Tatarstan

Today, the Ministry held a meeting with representatives of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan.

It was attended by Consul General Wu Yingqin, Consul Qing Songmao, Vice Consul Pian Xiaoqiang. From the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan there are Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Minister Dmitry Yashin, General Director of RACIN JSC Denis Samodurov and Project Manager of RACIN JSC for the export of halal products Rustem Gainullov.

Marat Zyabbarov presented the possibilities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan. He stressed that the republic is the leader in milk production in Russia. In 2021, the production of livestock and poultry meat increased.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation. In particular, the Chinese side was interested in the measures that were taken to ensure food security and stabilize the price of products in the Republic of Tatarstan. They touched upon the topic of the influence of Western sanctions on the development of agriculture.

“Of course, the restrictions imposed on our state also have an impact on the agro-industrial complex. But I can't say that there are big problems. Yes, supply chains have been disrupted, but deliveries are going on. This also applies to seeds, machinery and spare parts,” the minister said.

Consul General Wu Yingqin expressed the willingness of the Chinese side to cooperate. They will also consider the possibility of participation of Chinese companies at the agro-industrial exhibition "Agrovolga - 2022", which will be held from July 6-8 in Kazan Expo.
