The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan discussed the results of 10 months of this year on the prospective development of livestock industries

Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food held a meeting on the results of the first half of 2021 on the development of livestock industries. The event was attended by Deputy Minister Lenar Garipov, Deputy Head of the Main State Agricultural Department of Breeding in Animal Husbandry Gelius Bayazitov, heads of agricultural divisions of districts and others.


Topical issues of animal husbandry were discussed at the meeting: these are cattle reproduction, information support programs for farms and cow feeding.


"Farm managers today need to make balanced rations for the cattle, if necessary, to involve outsourcing companies to compile rations. In addition, let me remind you that there is not so much time left before the adoption of the labeling law. In the future, the possibility of selling livestock without microchips will be almost impossible. It is necessary, together with the veterinary service, to control the entry of young animals," Lenar Garipov said.

Among the regions of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tatarstan ranks 1st in the number of dairy cattle. The largest increase in the number of cattle is in Mamadyshsky (+4589 heads), Atninsky (+3412 heads), Baltasinsky (+1988 heads). In terms of daily milk production, the environment of the subjects of the Republic of Tatarstan with a volume of 3734 thousand tons also occupies a leading position.
