19 November 2021, Friday

Today, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan held a videoconference meeting on monitoring the situation in the agro-industrial complex and the food market. The meeting was chaired by Dmitry Patrushev, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dzhambulat Khatuov and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut. Tatarstan was represented by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, First Deputy Minister Nail Zalakov, Deputy Ministers Ildus Gabdrakhmanov and Lenar Garipov.

"Our industry, as you know, works seven days a week. To date, seasonal field work is at the final stage, which means that you need to pay attention to the purchase of fertilizers. To ensure stability in this segment, the Government is taking a whole range of measures, in particular, from December 1, a temporary restriction on the export of certain types of fertilizers is introduced. We expect that due to this resolution, farmers will acquire the necessary amount of fertilizers at reasonable prices. In most regions, the harvesting campaign and winter sowing have already been completed. The planning of acreage in 2022 needs to be analyzed together with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the existing risks and the current economic situation in general," Dmitry Patrushev said.

"Next week, we should have a plan approved with all ministries in order to understand the situation with mineral fertilizers in each region. We will also control the supply of fertilizers to the regions, and the manufacturing plants, in turn, will publish current prices for fertilizers on their official resources," Oksana Lut said.

"When the prices are approved, there will be a lot of activity in the purchase of fertilizers. To date, the fertilizer plan has been fulfilled by 83%, but by the end of the year the plan will be fulfilled," Marat Zyabbarov assured.

In his closing speech, Dmitry Patrushev outlined the main task for the regions. It consists in not only completing the harvest, but also calculating all the risks, and clearly planning all actions for 2022.
