Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov met with the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan Yerlan Iskakov and the First Secretary of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan Ilyas Tursunbayev. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, General Director of JSC "RATSIN" Denis Samodurov, Head of the Food Market Development Department Dmitry Yashin, Head of the Halal export project Rustem Gainullov.
Marat Zyabbarov presented the possibilities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and dwelt in more detail on the issues of export and import.
"According to the results of 9.5 months of 2021, the export of products from the Republic of Tatarstan to Kazakhstan amounted to $ 41.2 million. Basically, these are products for making sauces, ready-made sauces, flavorings, butter, sugar," the minister explained.
In turn, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Iskakov noted that he was impressed by the volumes and processing of sugar beet. They are also interested in deep processing of grain and dairy production.
The sides noted that both republics have enough common points of contact. Both republics are doing a tremendous job in terms of exporting products produced according to Halal standards.
The First Secretary of the Consulate General Ilyas Tursunbayev said that it is planned to create wholesale distribution centers in Kazakhstan. There will be 16 of them in total. This will solve the logistics problem for distant regions. Tatarstan is ready to supply products to them, and if necessary, to provide platforms for manufacturers of Kazakhstan.
"Let's get to work. The potential for cooperation between the two republics is huge. Kazakhstan and Tatarstan are a storehouse of opportunities," concluded Marat Zyabbarov.
