The Tatar national dish chak-chak has a sweet honey smell and taste. The main advantage of Kazan chak-chak is a unique recipe, which has its roots in the period of existence of Volga Bulgaria, where, according to legend, the famous Tatar delicacy appeared.

Previously, the dish was considered exclusively festive, was present on all holidays and significant dates. Now it has become almost an everyday product. The mass production of chak-chak is associated with the appearance of factories on the territory of the republic for the production of bakery products.

The health benefits of chak-chak are due to its production of natural honey, which is an antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral agent. It is bee honey that is often used to treat gastrointestinal diseases, as well as cuts and burns. In addition, the benefits of chak-chak are obvious both for metabolic processes in the human body and for strengthening immunity.

The world's largest chuck-chuck was prepared in Kazan for the opening of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in form of half a soccer ball. It weighed 4026 kg and it took about 9,000 eggs, a ton of flour and a ton of honey to make it.

Kazan chak-chak participates in the National competition of regional food brands "Tastes of Russia". You will be able to cast your vote for your favorite brand from October 20 to November 7.
