Having carefully preserved and multiplied unique national traditions for many centuries, the plough holiday embodied the best qualities of people — hard work, a desire to win, good neighborliness, love for native language and culture. Sabantuy praises the beauty of our native land, the enduring value of the symbol of life — Bread. With universal fun, cordial hospitality, performances of the best dancers and singers, horse races and hot fights of batyrs on the Maidan — the Sabantuy holiday is held, paying homage to the nurse-earth, praising the hard but noble work of a farmer.
