Tatarstan and the United Arab Emirates are considering promising areas of the halal industry

During the working visit, the Minister of Food and Water Security of the United Arab Emirates Mariam Bint Mohammed Al-Mehairi, visited agricultural enterprises of Laishevsky district. They were accompanied by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov.

The delegation visited the Kazan Oil Extraction Plant and the Kazan Fat Plant.

Kazan Oil Extraction Plant is a dynamically developing enterprise, which is one of the leading enterprises in Russia for processing oilseeds (rapeseed, sunflower). The plant is part of the group of companies "NEFIS", which also includes PJSC "Nefis Cosmetics", JSC "Kazan Fat Plant", JSC "NEFIS-BIOPRODUCT". The company is able to process up to 1 million oilseeds per year, 450 thousand tons of vegetable oil and 380 thousand tons of meal.

Kazan Fat Plant is the largest enterprise in Russia for the production of ketchups, mayonnaise and sauces. The company is in constant modernization. According to the results of the first quarter of 2021, the enterprises of the Nefis group increased the production of commercial products by 18%.

During the tour, the delegation got acquainted with brands that are known not only in Russia, but also abroad.

In conclusion, the guests visited the production of the agricultural supply and marketing (trade) consumer cooperative "Kausar". In 2018, the company received a 30 million rubles grant from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan for the purchase of equipment for processing poultry meat. A full production cycle has been created here: parent herd, incubators, poultry houses, slaughterhouse and processing. The range of products includes sausages, pates, smoked and dried duck meat products, etc. The production works according to the Halal standards.

The delegation from the UAE inspected the production facilities of the company. As a result of the meetings, the delegation expressed interest in the products of the Kausar cooperative.
