Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is exploring opportunities for cooperation with the Arkhangelsk region
Today, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov met with Minister of Agriculture and Trade of the Arkhangelsk Region Irina Bazhanova to discuss the supply of food products from the Republic of Tatarstan to the Arkhangelsk Region.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Makhmutov, Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilya Spiridonov, Project Manager for the export of Halal products of Ratsin JSC Rustem Gainullov, General Director of RIVC JSC Niyaz Khaliullin and others.
Irina Bazhanova noted that despite the fact that the Arkhangelsk region is located in the north, there are points of contact between the regions on many issues. Cooperation between the Arkhangelsk Region and Tatarstan has been established for a long time and this work will be continued in the future.
The Minister spoke about the production of agricultural crops in the republic, paying special attention to dairy farming and seed potato growing.
“We are the region of import. Today the region provides 66% of potatoes, 60% of milk. Our state programs are aimed at dairy farming. We have 14 loudspeakers. We are one of the pilot regions where livestock breeding is being tested, ”she said.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues and exchanged experiences in the implementation of the state program for "integrated development of rural areas", digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, as well as the work of agricultural cooperatives.
At the end of the event, the participants exchanged contacts of interested food supply companies.
