Tatarstan enterprises to receive a subsidy of 131 million rubles to keep prices for flour and bread

11 March 2021, Thursday

This was announced today by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov at a press conference in Tatar-inform.

The total amount of funds allocated for reimbursement of costs for flour-grinding and bakery enterprises is 131.23 million rubles, including:

- the flour mill 66.6 million rubles (the budget of the Russian Federation is 65.96 million rubles, the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan is 0.67 million rubles)

- bakery 64.6 million rubles ( from the budget of the Russian Federation - 48.3 million rubles, the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan - 16.3 million rubles).

The mechanism assumes compensation to flour producers for part of the costs of purchasing food wheat, and to bakery enterprises - for the sale of bread and bakery products.

“The measure taken by the Government is aimed at maintaining the profitability of enterprises in the industry and maintaining a stable level of prices for flour and bakery products for the population. The ministry has already started selecting applications from flour producers and bakery enterprises, "Nail Zalakov noted.

The main condition for granting subsidies is not to increase wholesale prices for the products.

Bakeries receive subsidies at the rate of 2 rubles per kilogram of bread sold.

For flour mills, subsidies for the purchase of grain will amount to about 2 thousand rubles (2 108.61 rubles) per ton of purchased wheat grain for flour production in 2021.

As of March 10, 2 flour producers and 8 bakery enterprises have already submitted applications.
