December 9 is an International Day against Corruption

A republican youth anti-corruption forum coinciding with the International Anti-Corruption Day was held today in the Kazan IT Park. The event was held in a discussion format. The Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin took part in the forum. The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Makhmutov also took part in the event.

Having greeted the guests on behalf of the republic's leadership, the head of the parliament noted that serious attention is paid to fight against corruption in Tatarstan. A whole range of measures has been developed at the federal and regional levels: a reliable legislative and regulatory framework, organizational decisions to prevent and minimize corruption, and the activities of law enforcement and supervisory bodies.

“Corruption, like rust, eats away not only the economy of the republic, but also the credibility of the authorities. It corrupts our youth, who mistakenly think that issues can be resolved in such illegal ways”, he said.

The event dedicated to the International Day against Corruption was held today at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Makhmutov. He paid special attention to the prevention of corruption, including ensuring the legality and publicity of the ministry's activities, formation of an intolerant attitude towards corruption in the ministry. During the event, a video was shown about the organization and results of anti-corruption work in the Republic of Tatarstan.
