Dairy breeding organizations summed up their results for the past year
Today, within the walls of the Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after. E. Bauman held a meeting on the topic “Results of the work of the Union of Organizations for Pedigree Dairy Animal Husbandry for 2023 and further joint work to achieve the goals and solve the tasks envisaged for the period 2024-2030.”
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov made a welcoming speech. He spoke about the importance of organizing selection and breeding work at the level of genomic assessment of animals.
“Our task is to externally evaluate the cows, collect all the data on productivity and quality indicators of milk, make a digital profile and genomic assessment, which will allow us to further predict the future productivity and potential of each born calf on dairy farms,” the minister said.
Deputy Minister Gelyus Bayazitov spoke next. He told about the problems and ways to improve breeding work in dairy breeding farms.
Following the meeting, the key goal of the work was announced - by 2030, reduce the import dependence of the Republic of Tatarstan on the import of livestock by 5 times and ensure technological sovereignty.
