On December 2, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia hosted a regular meeting of the operational headquarters to monitor the situation in the agro-industrial complex and on the food market. The event, which was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Dzhambulat Khatuov, was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Makhmutov, representatives of federal departments, regional governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex, as well as industry unions and organizations.
Currently, seasonal field work in Russia is almost complete. As of December 1, 137.8 million tons of grain were threshed in the country. This year, the Ministry of Agriculture predicts one of the largest grain harvests in modern history, an increase in production of many other crops.
Sowing works are also taking place in the normal mode. At the same time, unfavorable conditions for winter grain crops have developed in some regions. Despite the fact that a record area was sown - 19.3 million hectares, in the Southern and Central Federal Districts, sowing was carried out in dry weather, it affected the vegetation of plants. The agency regularly monitors the state of crops, the final assessment of winter crops will be given after the resumption of the growing season in the spring.
In the current year, 1,548.1 thousand hectares of grain crops, including corn for grain, were threshed in the republic, 5.55 million tons of grain (in the original weight) were threshed with an average yield of 35.9 c / ha. The gross harvest of sugar beet amounted to 2.2 million tons with a yield of 442 c / ha, potatoes - 108.9 thousand tons with a yield of 272.5 c / ha, 201.2 thousand tons of sunflower oilseeds were threshed with a yield of 17 c / ha.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the provision of farmers with the necessary material and technical resources. To increase the gross harvest of agricultural crops, the regional management bodies of the agro-industrial complex were recommended to accelerate the process of liming acidic soils, increase the volume of purchases of mineral fertilizers and continue updating the technical park with the help of preferential lending programs of JSC Rosagroleasing.
The issue of food supply for the winter stall period was considered separately. As of December 1, the country harvested 5.3% more roughage and succulent feed compared to the same period last year. In addition, the participants discussed regional grain balances.
According to the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, agricultural organizations of the republic procured 1,745.9 thousand tons of feed in 2020, 32 centners of feed units per 1 head.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian market is provided with grain from the new harvest and sufficient carry-over stocks to maintain a stable price situation. At the same time, priority attention is paid to the preparation of seeds for the harvest of the next year, the provision of raw materials for flour mills and feed grain for livestock breeders. Following the meeting, the First Deputy Minister set the task to continue work in this direction and consider its results at the next meetings of the operational headquarters.
