Yelabuga gingerbread is nominated for the "Tastes of Russia"

For the first national competition of regional brands "Tastes of Russia" CJSC "Yelabuga food processing plant" with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan presented the Yelabuga gingerbread.

The history of the gingerbread business in Yelabuga dates back to the 19th century. At that time in the city of Elabuga, there were about seven types of gingerbread. The gingerbread cookies were baked in different shapes, or they combined a flat silhouette of dark dough and a figurine sculpted on it, covered with colored sugar. The history of Yelabuga gingerbread officially began in 1949.

The dish has fruit and berry filling, saturated with flavored syrup and glazed with chocolate. It has a rich taste of honey and a pleasant light aroma of cinnamon. The gingerbread is made of premium flour using gingerbread boards and natural oils.

Fruit and berry filling helps strengthen blood vessels, stimulate blood circulation. The healing properties of cinnamon, which is part of gingerbread, were known to ancient Chinese healers, who recommended it for many diseases. In combination with the aroma of honey, the positive effect on the body is only enhanced.
