Rustam Minnikhanov: Agricultural producers are actively developing exports, which in 9 months of this year increased by more than 1.5 times
Today in the international exhibition center "Kazan Expo" a solemn event dedicated to the Day of the worker of agriculture and processing industry took place. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, representatives of ministries and departments, industry veterans, village workers and representatives of agricultural enterprises.
The President of Tatarstan congratulated everyone on their professional holiday - the Day of Workers of Agriculture and Processing Industry. He recalled that today Tatarstan is one of the leading regions of the country for the production of agricultural products and is one of the five leaders in terms of gross agricultural production.
“Occupying 2.4% of the country's agricultural land, the republic produces 4.2% of its gross output,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan is a self-sufficient region and fulfils the needs of the population for basic food products. In the current year, despite the difficult period, a record grain harvest over the past 12 years was harvested - 5.4 million tons, the yield was 35.4 c / ha, as Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized. The gross harvest of seed oil - 350 thousand tons, potatoes - 1.2 million tons, vegetables - 340 thousand tons, sugar beets - 2.2 million tons.
The biggest grain harvest was provided by Buinsky, Arsky and Tetyushsky districts. The highest yield - over 40 c / ha - was achieved in Zainsky, Kukmorsky, Baltasinsky, Tetyushsky districts.
Rustam Minnikhanov also noted the farms with the highest achieved grain yield. He thanked for the worthy results and hard work everyone whose activities are related to the agro-industrial complex - agronomists, machine operators, livestock breeders, veterinarians and all village workers.
“The republic confidently keeps a leading position in Russia in milk production. About 1.9 million tons will be produced this year. Next year it is necessary to exceed the level of 2 million tons”, Rustam Minnikhanov believes.
“The agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan is actively developing. The construction and modernization of dozens of livestock facilities continues in the republic; grain streams and elevators; greenhouse complexes. The volume of investments in these projects will amount to about 15 billion rubles, ”Rustam Minnikhanov reminded.
According to the President of Tatarstan, an important factor in the development of the village is the strengthening of small forms of farming. A strong farming class has formed in Tatarstan - it is about 450 thousand personal subsidiary plots, more than 4600 farms, over 1200 family farms.
The President of Tatarstan noted that the main task is to ensure that the life of villagers meets the most modern standards. It is for this that the republic is implementing programs aimed at the integrated development of territories. New schools, kindergartens, village clubs, sports grounds, feldsher-obstetric centers are being built in the village.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that today agricultural producers are actively developing their exports. For 9 months of this year, it has grown more than 1.5 times compared to last year (more than $ 200 million). “Tatarstan products are exported to 70 countries of the world. In addition, more than 70 of our factories are certified for the production of halal products. Our goal is to process products in the republic as much as possible and export the finished product with a high share of added value, ”said the President of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov also on behalf of all citizens thanked agricultural producers for holding weekly agricultural fairs in the cities of the republic.
