VkusVill is negotiating with agricultural producers in Tatarstan to include their production into the chain's product line. The meeting with suppliers was held on August 13 at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

The head of the Ministry presented the agro-industrial potential of the republic, noting that Tatarstan is the leader in milk production, making 6% of the total volume of milk produced in Russia. Also, the region is self-sufficient in other types of products, such as meat, eggs, sunflower oil, grain crops, etc.

Since VkusVill specializes in natural healthy food products with a short shelf life, one of the company's goals is to expand the base of local suppliers. For this reason representatives of the network visited Kazan. “Only natural food products can get on our shelf. We work with suppliers, trying to avoid dyes, flavors, preservatives, flavor enhancers and other additives. Large manufacturers are reluctant to make such a change in their recipe, therefore the main suppliers for VkusVill are more flexible small and medium-sized companies that produce products in relatively small batches, ”explained Yevgeny Rimsky, Managing Director for Quality and Procurement of the retail chain.

The VkusVill retail chain is gaining momentum - today it has 1,234 stores in 48 cities of the country. Every day the chain receives up to 30,000 orders in Russia and about 4,000 orders in Kazan. At the same time, only four stores are still open in the capital of Tatarstan.

VkusVill operates on a mixed delivery model - in addition to its own service, the company works with taxis, SberMarket, Yandex.Eda and Delivery Club. In the near future, the company is considering the possibility of opening a new distribution center in the republic, serving stores in Tatarstan and outside the republic.

Now the trading network is negotiating with local suppliers to include their products in the product line. During the meeting organized in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the products were presented to the retailer by the brewery "White Kremlin", the producer of cheese "Kamskoye Ustye", meat - the agricultural firm "Zalesny", Tatpotrebsoyuz, as well as producers of bread, oriental sweets and soft grape drinks, etc.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that the task of the ministry is to help agricultural producers with the sale of products and expressed the hope that the network will expand and develop in Tatarstan, attracting local producers to cooperation.
