18 July 2020, Saturday

For 5 months of this year, the gross output for all categories of farms amounted to 77.1 billion rubles, or 101.5% comparing to the level of previous year. Cash proceeds increased by 7% and amounted to 40.6 billion rubles. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov announced this today at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting was held by videoconference with all municipal districts by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by RT Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin.

At the beginning of the report, the minister briefly reported on the current field work. In the agricultural formations of the republic, the procurement of fodder continues; as of July 17, 2,500 thousand tons of haylage and 410 thousand tons of hay have been procured. On an area of 63.5 thousand hectares they have harvested annual grasses and feed mixtures. Also, farmers have begun harvesting grain crops in selected fields. Four districts have already joined this work: Aznakaevsky (80 ha), Apastovsky (45 ha), Buinsky (107 ha) and Laishevsky districts (23 ha). The first 255 hectares have been threshed in the republic.

Turning to the main topic of the report, Marat Zyabbarov said that at the end of 2019, the share of profitable agricultural enterprises was 90%. “In 20 municipal districts, all agricultural formations are profitable, and in another 10 districts there is an increase in the share of profitable farms. At the same time, the industry as a whole lost profit in the amount of 1.4 billion rubles, mainly due to 49 unprofitable farms. The largest number of unprofitable farms is in Almetyevsky, Kamsko-Ustinsky, Pestrechinsky, Zelenodolsky, Laishevsky and Rybno-Slobodsky districts, ”the minister stated.

According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the ministry conducts monthly monitoring and analysis of the financial condition of subordinate organizations. For the first half of the year, the activities of 13 unprofitable enterprises were considered.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that the on-site analysis showed that in many farms the reasons of losses are similar. Often, these agricultural enterprises poorly use the potential of arable land. Also, in a number of farms there is a low energy supply, therefore, the optimal agro-technological terms of seasonal field work are not observed; a balanced feeding system is not built; work on variety renewal and variety change is not carried out; low wages and lack of material incentives.

“This year we decided to get to know the work of unprofitable enterprises “live” and organized an on-site comprehensive analysis by the composition of three working groups. Since May of this year, 9 households in 7 municipal districts have been analyzed. Each farm was provided with an analytical conclusion with recommended measures to optimize costs to reach the break-even point, improve performance and increase the level of profitability, ”said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Ministry plans to continue supporting unprofitable enterprises, where a comprehensive analysis was carried out and to track the dynamics of indicators. The implementation of the plan will be monitored on a quarterly basis.
