Marat Zyabbarov reported on the situation in the industry in Tatarstan as part of the plenary meeting of the “All-Russian Field Day 2020”

Within the All-Russian Field Day 2020 exhibition, the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev held an online plenary meeting on the topic “Crop production in Russia: strategic guidelines and tools for achieving them.” The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

The Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported that preparations for the harvesting campaign are in full swing in the Republic of Tatarstan. Sown areas are kept at the level of previous years and amount to 2.8 million hectares. To be harvested: grain and leguminous crops on an area of ​​1 million 550 ha, oilseeds - 272 thousand ha, sugar beets - about 50 thousand ha, potatoes and vegetables - over 6 thousand ha (4.1 thousand ha and 2.4 thousand ha, respectively).

Serious attention is paid to fodder procurement. They completed the harvesting of the first mowing of perennial grasses.

“In late July, we will begin harvesting. Over 3400 units of combine harvesters will participate”, said Marat Zyabbarov.

In the Republic of Tatarstan there are grain receiving enterprises and elevators with a capacity of more than 2 million tons. All of them are ready to accept the future harvest. In addition to elevators, farms of the republic have capacities for storing 2.3 million tons of grain. A republican program for the overhaul of grain-flowing facilities with a reimbursement of 30% of the cost of costs is working. Under this program, 384 warehouses were repaired. It also allows you to bring the granary in proper condition and ensure the quality and preservation of the crop.

“The final result will largely depend on the organization of harvesting. For this, in most agricultural enterprises of the republic, 2-shift round-the-clock work of combines is planned. In each municipal district, incentives are provided for leading workers”, the minister said.

At the end of the speech, Marat Zyabbarov, on behalf of the locals of the republic, thanked Dmitry Patrushev for the federal support provided in agriculture.

In turn, the Minister of Agriculture of Russia summed up the sowing campaign and outlined the strategic directions for the development of the crop industry. According to him, the current year is not easy, including for the agricultural sector. But in spite of everything, the industry did not stop its work even in the most tense moments. Dmitry Patrushev thanked the farmers for their honest and hard work, for devotion to their work for the good of the whole country.

Currently, sowing of all crops has been completed; in 2020, the sown area was 80.2 million hectares. Compared to last year, sowing of spring wheat increased by 500 thousand ha. Sown areas of corn and sunflower increased by 300 and 200 thousand ha respectively. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that the sowing campaign in the Russian Federation was at a decent level. This was facilitated by the high availability of farmers with the necessary material and technical resources - primarily fertilizers and equipment.

During the meeting, leaders of a number of Russian regions reported on the situation. In particular, information on the development of the agro-industrial complex was presented by the Governor of the Bryansk Region Alexander Bogomaz, the Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuyvashev and others.

The Minister thanked the participants for the constructive and honest dialogue, and also supported the initiative of Yevgeny Kuyvashev to hold next year “All-Russian Field Day” in the Sverdlovsk Region.
