Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev held a regular meeting of the operational headquarters to monitor the situation with socially significant agricultural products and food. The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov.
During the meeting, the regions presented information on food security and prices, the availability of labor resources in the agricultural sector, the development of agricultural insurance and reclamation measures. According to the subjects, the current situation in the food markets is stable, production volumes can cover the existing demand, there is no significant price fluctuation for basic food products.
One of the central topics of the meeting was bringing state support funds to final recipients, which, according to Dmitry Patrushev, is the most important issue for agricultural producers in the current conditions. As of April 30, the subjects brought about 26 billion rubles to farmers, which is 21% of the total limit. In a number of regions, this work has not yet begun, and in 14 subjects the level of completion has not exceeded 10%. The Minister listened to the reports of representatives of regional agro-industrial complex management bodies in this area and urged them to promptly take appropriate measures.
In addition, the participants discussed the sowing campaign. To date, spring field work has already started in 58 subjects. In a number of regions of Siberia and Ural, as well as in the south of the country, the sowing began earlier than usual, work goes ahead of the level of the previous year. In the Southern, North Caucasian and Central Federal Districts, more than 55% of the planned areas are already sown.
To date, the dynamics of spring sowing in the Republic of Tatarstan is 40% or 722.4 thousand ha, of which grain - 526 thousand ha; rapeseed - 15 thousand ha; sunflower - 43 thousand ha; sugar beets - 33 thousand ha; fodder - 88 thousand ha. The largest percentage of sowing today is on barley, which is already sown on an area of 312.9 thousand ha ( 69%).
Dmitry Patrushev outlined the readiness of the Ministry of Agriculture to consider problematic issues during seasonal work and, if necessary, provide additional support for their solution.
